Hostenfest

The twenty-third day of the month of the Harvest, in Autumn. Holiday in Rofehaven celebrating the beginning of the harvest season. The festivities are centered around feasting and adoration of the Earth King and include:
- placing effigies of the Earth King near entrance to ones home. The Spirit of the Earth King is said to fill the effigies on Hostenfest Eve, both protecting the family for another season and giving strength to bear the harvest home.
- On Hostenfest Eve the father of a home places gifts on the hearth, acting as the Earth King, giving gifts to those who love the land.
